Patriots Offensive Lineman Lands On COVID 19 List Ahead Of Colts Game

There’s a huge surge of positive cases in the NFL at the moment. Seven teams have seen major losses in the last couple of weeks. The New England Patriots had just one player on the COVID list, and now they have added another one.

Offensive lineman Yasir Durant joins tight end Dalton Keene and running back J.J. Taylor on the COVID-19/reserve list. The situation is not that scary, but the team can’t lose more players at this points.

Durant tested positive for the virus and will have to provide two negative tests separated by 24 hours. If not, he will have to be isolated from the team. In other words, he won’t be able to enter facilities. It all depends on his vaccination status. Vaccinated players can return after two negative tests while unvaccinated have to face a mandatory 10-day absence.

Patriots have to stay safe and avoid being added to the COVID list

Tom Pelissero reported that these are “the three biggest in-season numbers over two years of COVID protocols.”

Adam Schefter confirmed that seven NFL teams are entering enhanced COVID-19 protocols, including the Los Angeles Rams, Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, Atlanta Falcons, and the Washington Football Team. Teams have lost too many players to continue with the season and the league may change the protocols.

Head coach Bill Belichick and his team don’t have too many issues at the moment, but Matthew Judon has already warned teammates. He delivered a big message to each and every person related to the Patriots organization. He urged everyone to protect themselves and wear their masks every time they go outside. Of course, players shouldn’t spent time in “places where you really don’t have to when you can be at home.”

Nice advice, huh?

Players have been through similar situation before. They had to stay home and we all know that quarantines are never fancy. But, teams can easily lose the chance to compete. They played in empty stadiums, remember? It was really tough for everyone. Let’s not go through the same.

Don’t forget to wash your hands people!
