Patriots Veteran Called Team’s Most Pleasant Surprise

Jalen Mills earned a four-year deal with the New England Patriots in the offseason. If you ask Matthew Fairburn from The Athletic, he will say that the Patriots veteran is the most pleasant surprise for the team.

“I would say the most pleasant surprise has probably been Jalen Mills at cornerback,” he said. “He got put into a tough spot when they moved on from Stephon Gilmore. They counted on him to be that outside corner opposite J.C. Jackson and it wasn’t always easy, but he definitely stepped up made some plays and all of a sudden he looks like a pretty solid, dependable starter opposite Jackson, who’s having another outstanding season. Mills has really helped solidify that Patriots passing defense.”

Patriots veteran to provide more surprise plays

The Patriots added a great veteran to the roster, and Mills is equally excited about the new opportunity. The veteran was super happy about the chance he was given. Playing under head coach Bill Belichick is a big deal. Mills will always remember his first encounter with the legendary head coach.

In his first workout with the team, Mills was “working a certain technique” and Belichick was standing right there next to him. The Patriots head coach started coaching Mills up. The veteran was impressed.

Mills has nothing but praise for his position coaches. He really likes cornerbacks coach Mile Pellegrino and safeties coach Brian Belichick. According to him, they are really smart and helpful. Belichick is here to answer all his questions.

New England are coming off a bad loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Many would agree that this loss will motivate the team to continue the great work and get ready for the Buffalo Bills. This will be their second game in the regular season. The Bills lost the game a couple of weeks ago, and they may come better prepared this time.

Mills and his teammates should do their best to win the last few games in the regular seasons. The Miami Dolphins are the last opponent on their list. It’s showtime, everyone! Patriots players need your support.
