Report: Patriots Place Edge Rusher On Injured Reserve Ahead Of Colts Matchup

The Ne England Patriots are playing against the Indianapolis Colts. It’s a big game for the team, but head coach Bill Belichick has all the talent he needs to win the game. He has great players on the roster and that’s the only thing that matters right now. The Patriots didn’t lose too many players to COVID-19 in the past couple of weeks. However, a Patriots edge rusher won’t suit up for the game vs Colts.

On Thursday, the team placed Ronnie Perkins on injured reserve as confirmed by the NFL transaction wire. The rookie will stay on the sidelines for at least three games. In other words, he may not play anymore. New England has four games on the regular season.

Patriots edge rusher to sit out the entire season

The rookie quarterback didn’t join his teammates for practice. He had sustained ankle injury and he is definitely out for the next three contests. Patriots coaches were really impressed by Perkins and saw great potential in his performance. However, the third-rounder didn’t get a chance to see real action. Perkins missed the entire regular season as a healthy scratch for the Patriots.

New England has an open spot on the 53-man roster. Of course, Belichick doesn’t need new players at the moment. His team is doing an excellent job and they don’t need additional help. The Patriots will try to challenge their next opponents and hopefully, win the game. They have four games and the Miami Dolphins are the final target for the regular season.

Stephen A. Smith made great predictions for the team. He can already see the Patriots make the Super Bowl. Smith is more than convinced that the Patriots have the talent to beat the Dallas Cowboys or any other tough opponent. Patriots fans like the prediction and Smith is not the only one to praise the team. Jones earned words of praise from pretty much every analyst. His game is strong and he is just 23. The young quarterback has so much to offer and Belichick will definitely use him as a replacement for TB12.
