Russell Westbrook Brutally Honest Take on Anthony Davis Injury Woes

NBA teams are without some of their key players which makes things difficult for everyone. Several Los Angeles Lakers players entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols after testing positive for the virus. Head coach Frank Vogel entered COVID protocols too. Well, this is not the only problem LA has at the moment. LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, and the rest of the players on the roster will have to continue their efforts to win games without Anthony Davis.

The Lakers big man sustained a knee injury a few days ago. He had a MRI and his condition is not that good. AD will have to sit out the next few weeks. This will give him plenty of time to rest and recover. Unfortunately, Lakers players will face huge challenge in the upcoming period.

Russell Westbrook supports Anthony Davis

Lakers players get a lot of questions about their teammate. Westbrook discussed Davis’ injury and he is here to give him his full support.

“It’s tough,” Broddie said. “Anytime you see somebody go down, they gotta miss some time, especially from the game that they love to play. It’s tough. I’ve been there and I understand just the emotional state. Just try to keep uplifting him, staying positive, talking to him. Making sure he’s trying to win each day so he can get back healthy.”

Davis is not too worried about his injury, but he is definitely frustrated about the fact that he will have to miss too much time. He will have to watch his team play against strong opponents. LA has tough schedule this season. How will players handle the pressure?

Westbrook has great game on the floor. The Lakers were also able to get Isaiah Thomas for a 10-day contract. He seems to be doing a good job on the floor.

LeBron is healthy and that’s good news. The four-time NBA champion missed too much time this season. Hopefully, he won’t too many games this season. The Lakers struggled without him and fans really hope to see players win more games in Davis’ absence. It’s time to win some games, right?
