Vanessa Bryant Has Heartbreaking Admission On Accident

Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna died in a helicopter crash on January 26, 2020. His death is not the only nightmare Vanessa Bryant has to live with, fearing that the photos of the deadly accident may leak at some point. Vanessa lost her husband and daughter, and someone thought it would be nice if they took pictures of the dismembered bodies.

Vanessa lives “in fear” that photos of the crash will “go viral,” as written in a Monday court trial. She filed a lawsuit against Los Angeles County after first responders took and shared photos from the crash. The six-page filing came after LA County moved to have Vanessa’s invasion of privacy claim dismissed, as reported by multiple sources.

“I will never be able to shake the anguish from knowing that the officials who are supposed to keep us safe treated Kobe and Gianna with such callous disrespect,” Bryant wrote in Monday’s filing. “For the rest of my life, one of two things will happen: either close-up photos of my husband’s and daughter’s bodies will go viral online, or I will continue to live in fear of that happening.”

Vanessa Bryant will never forget the accident

Her pain got worse when first responders took photos of the crash.

“These deputies and firefighters took the worst thing that has ever happened to me — the worst thing that could happen to any mother or spouse — and made it worse.”

The court filing alleged that photos of Kobe and Gigi’s remains were sent to “at least 28 LASD devices and by at least a dozen firefighters.” Some of these people flaunted “the photos in a bar while pantomiming dismemberment and showing off the photos over cocktails at an awards gala.”

Vanessa says she had already seen one of the photos. It depicted Kobe’s remains.

The public hasn’t seen these photos. There was also an order suggesting that Vanessa and other plaintiffs should take a psychiatric exam. A judge overturned this request, of course.

Kobe and Gigi traveled with seven others – Christina Mauser; Payton and Sarah Chester; John, Keri and Alyssa Altobelli; and pilot Ara Zobayan. No one survived the crash.
