Anthony Davis Status vs. Heat Revealed After Recent Upgrade

The Los Angeles Lakers have been without one of their superstars for a really long time. They really needed another big man on the court. Well, the team provided an update on Anthony Davis and they have already upgraded his status for the game vs Miami Heat.

Davis missed significant time due to his MCL strain. He had a MRI and it returned negative, meaning Davis is allowed to have contact workout. That’s more than good news. He joined his teammates for practice. It was great to see him on the floor after such a long time. Lakers fans first thought that Davis would be able to travel with his team, but they will have to wait. Michael Convo reported that Davis won’t join his teammates in the game against the Miami Heat.

Anthony Davis fans won’t like the update on his status vs Heat

The Lakers upgraded his status to questionable, but he is out now. In his session with the media, head coach Frank Vogel said that Davis won’t play against the Heat. Well, Vogel wasn’t really convinced that his superstar would play against the Heat.

Vogel said Anthony Davis didn’t have a setback, the Lakers just listed him as questionable for the sake of “transparency”, as there was a small chance he would be ready to play vs. Heat

The Brooklyn Nets are next on the list. Will Davis play in the game? The Philadelphia 76ers, Charlotte Hornets, and Atlanta Hawks may play against vs. the Lakers big man.

Davis helped his team win games. They have lost nine of the 16 games Davis missed due to his injury. A lot of players missed time due to injuries or COVID. The Lakers have a 23-23 record at this point of the regular season. Davis’ return would make things a lot easier for the team. The front office signed him for a reason. They even gave him a contract extension.

Davis has established an excellent connection with his teammates. His absence had a huge impact on the season. Fans were a little worried but latest updates brought joy to them all.

The Lakers big man used his time off to work on his shot mechanics. In other words, we should be ready for an upgraded version of Anthony Davis.
