Bill Belichick Opens Up About Making Mac Jones Laugh On Sideline

The New England Patriots finished Week 17 with a 50-10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. It was a really good win for the team. Bill Belichick, Mac Jones, and JC Jackson made history during the game. The head coach tied Don Shula for the most 10-plus-win seasons. Jones and Jackson had beautiful performances as well. New England tried really hard to win seven games in a row, but players lost two straight games to the Indianapolis Colts and Buffalo Bills. This win motivated everyone to get ready for the grand finale. New England will play against the Miami Dolphins, and hopefully, they will finish the season with a win.

This game was special for so many reasons. Jones was able to break the spell and put an end to his bad performance. The rookie quarterback had a shaky performance in the loss to the Buffalo Bills, but he came back with a 50-10 win. Head coach Belichick selected him in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft for a reason. The man is a legend. Jones finished the game 22-of-30 for 227 yards with three touchdowns and no pickups. It was great to see Jones outperform Trevor Lawrence who was the top pick of the class this year. The Jaguars quarterback went 17-of-27 for 183 yards with one touchdown and three pickups.

Bill Belichick shares jokes with Mac Jones?

It was a good night for the Patriots nation and Belichick had a really good laugh with his signal caller. A lot of people asked questions about their conversation at the sideline, but Coach B didn’t provide any additional info.

“It’s rare to feel that, have that type of a lead,” he said on WEEI’s “The Greg Hill Show.” “Just a lighter moment there. Just happy for the team.”

Got that. We don’t see Belichick smile that often. The same goes to Jones. They are super-serious. Well, Belichick really likes his rookie quarterback and all the potential he brings to the floor. Jones is an incredible player and he will definitely have a bright future with the Patriots.
