Bill Belichick Reportedly Paid Long Visit To Bills Locker Room After Playoff Loss

Bill Belichick missed the chance to win a Super Bowl once again, but he still wanted to visit the Buffalo Bills following the game. The New England Patriots lost the wild-card game to the Bills. New England lost two games to the Bills in the 2021 NFL season. They had one great win, but Josh Allen and his teammates were determined to regain their throne in the AFC.

Everyone was so focused on Belichick’s reaction following the 47-17 loss. He didn’t say or do much at the sideline. However, he did visit the Bills’ locker room after his postgame press conference. It was a lengthy visit as reported by Mike Giardi of NFL Media.

Bill Belichick had just one visit to an opponent’s locker room this season

We all know that Belichick is the best head coach in the NFL. We also know that he admires strong opponents. But, we also know that he doesn’t visit opponents’ locker rooms following a blowout loss. He did visit Tom Brady following the Week 4 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Patriots head coach shared a short embrace with Brady after the game. Cameras stopped rolling, and Belichick met with Brady. They had a long conversation but we don’t have more details about it.

Belichick wanted to visit Allen after the loss. NFL analysts praised Allen for his great performance and the way he overplayed Patriots. Moreover, they also said that Belichick should get rid of Mac Jones and get someone like Allen, describing him as a quarterback who can win Super Bowls.

Well, Jones didn’t win a Super Bowl in his rookie campaign, but he has great potential to win Super Bowl next season. Let’s not forget that he almost beat Brady in Week 4. Jones and his teammates had seven straight wins before losing the game to the Indianapolis Colts.

It was a bad season for the Patriots. Players should be motivated to do better in the upcoming season. Some of them won’t survive the roster cuts though. We can already guess the first player to leave the organization. It will be someone who struggled to make an impact in the last few seasons.
