Bill Belichick Reveals If He Plans On Returning Next Season

The New England Patriots missed the chance to be champions again. The team fell to the Buffalo Bills and finished the wild-card game with a 47-17 loss. It was terrible and the defense made too many mistakes. How will the Patriots handle the failure? One thing stands for sure. They won’t give up. Head coach Bill Belichick won’t give up and he has great plans for the next season. First, he will get rid of the players who spoiled his good games.

New England dominated the AFC a few weeks ago, but finished the 2021 NFL season with a loss. Belichick’s players lost the regular season finale to the Miami Dolphins. Rob Ninkovich and other NFL analysts had great expectations for the team. It didn’t happen. Patriots players are done for the season. Their opponents had a much better performance and scored a lot of touchdowns.

Bill Belichick plans to win with Mac Jones next season

Belichick is probably frustrated. He won six Super Bowls with Tom Brady and the Patriots. In 2020, the Patriots didn’t even make the playoffs. They lost the wild-card game to the Bills this season. Will Belichick call it career? Will this frustration put an end to his impressive NFL career? The media wanted to know if Belichick plans to return in 2022.

“I’d say that would be accurate,” the Patriots head coach said.

Belichick has a nice building block in Mac Jones. He selected the rookie quarterback in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Jones had a good season despite all the obstacles on his way. His season with the Patriots went well and he had a decent performance last night. It’s more than obvious that he is the right player to lead the team.

Jones was better than any other option for the Patriots in 2021. In fact, he did better than any other quarterback in his class. Belichick recognized his potential and he will surround Jones with better players in 2022. Fixing the defense is a priority. New England was without a few key players, but the defense struggled throughout the entire wild-card game.
