Bill Belichick Voted NFL Executive Of The Year By Pro Football Writers

Bill Belichick is the best head coach in NFL history and he has just been voted the Pro Football Writers of America’s 2021 NFL Executive of the Year. Well, this man worked really hard, and he sure deserves this title.

Belichick has secured this award for the very first time in his long career. The PFWA established it in 1993. Former Patriots vice president of player personnel Scott Pioli won this award in 2003 and 2007. The crown belongs to Belichick now. He won this award for a really good reason.

Mike Vrabel and Dan Quinn were named PFWA’s Coach of the Yea and Assistant Coach of the Year, respectively.

Bill Belichick was voted for Executive of the Year for a reason

In 2021, Belichick’s team hit a 10-7 record. They lost the wild-card game to the Buffalo Bills and missed the chance to be champions again. This loss will motivate Belichick to try even harder in the offseason. He spent a lot of money to get Hunter Henry, Jonnu Smith, and a few others last offseason. He may follow the same strategy again. Belichick’s team could win seven straight games. That should be the perfect base for the Patriots head coach.

Belichick has been part of the New England Patriots for 22 years. He celebrated his 22th anniversary with the team on Thursday. The 69-year-old joined the Patriots through an avalanche of events, but it was definitely worth it.

Team owner Robert Kraft had to make a decision and he decided to go with Belichick. As you may know, Belichick was under contract with the New York Jets. He resigned and went all the way to New England. This was the beginning of a new era. Kraft traded a few picks to get Belichick and the latter became the best head coach in the NFL. He led the team to six Super Bowls. Hopefully, the Patriots will win more titles under the legendary head coach.

Let’s see what happens in the next few seasons. Belichick has all the talent he needs to get more rings.
