The Lakers struggled to make an impact despite all the big names they signed in the preseason. LeBron James is still around and he has to carry his team on the back. Yes, he has done this before. Head coach Frank Vogel had to replace some of the injured players on his roster, including Anthony Davis.

The Lakers big man has missed too many games due to his MCL issue. Davis and LeBron have key roles in LA. Playing without either one of them makes things really difficult for the purple and gold.

According to latest updates, Davis is really close to seeing game action. Vogel reported that AD’s MRI came back clean. In other words, he can have court practice now. That’s more than good news for Lakers fans. Having AD back would be a game changer for the Lakers.

The Lakers beat the Utah Jazz and put an end to their losing streak. Maybe things will take a different turn now. Vogel is definitely an optimist. He knows that his players can accomplish a lot despite all the shortcomings. He even admitted that things weren’t really easy with all the injured players on the floor.

In one of his most recent convo with the media, Vogel said this has been an up-and-down stretch of the regular season. Players struggled in the first half, but these losses will definitely motivate them to do better in the second half of the game. Vogel is working with a lot versatile players. Hopefully, AD will return to the floor in the near future. He feels great and his teammates will definitely love to see him around again. Davis has a key role in LA and the front office rewarded him with a big deal.
