Josh McDaniels Expected To Interview For Head Coaching Job

The New England Patriots may soon lose their offensive coordinator as Josh McDaniels is getting ready for his head coaching gig. Probably. McDaniels hasn’t received many offers and this may be related to his situation with the Indianapolis Colts. He left the team days after accepting their offer.

Well, Adam Schefter from ESPN made a shocking comment on McDaniels’ future in the NFL. Is he staying in New England? Will he go somewhere else?

Josh McDaniels to accept the head coaching job

The Patriots offensive coordinator will probably interview for the Las Vegas Raiders’ head coaching position.

The Raiders decided to move on from their head coach, leaving a golden opportunity for another person. McDaniels is expected to interview with the team next week.

Rich Bisaccia’s fans won’t really like the latest development of events. He has a huge fanbase in Las Vegas. Derek Carr supports him, too.

“I think we can all think that he’s the right guy,” Carr said of Bisaccia. “He’s proven that people listen to him. Our team listens to him. And I love him so much, I’m thankful for him. All those things will be decisions that I don’t make, I don’t get to make. I just play quarterback … but with everything that went on, if you really look at what happened, all the pieces missing, everything that changed, yeah, he held it together.”

Raiders players and fans support Bisaccia, and this makes things difficult for McDaniels. He may get a chance to lead the team, but he will have to try really hard to earn the trust of Raiders players.

McDaniels has had an excellent career with the Patriots. His great skills were more than obvious in 2021. McDaniels helped Mac Jones develop his skills. The first-rounder led the team to a seven-game winning streak. The Patriots offense defeated a lot of teams in the past few years. Head coach Bill Belichick trusts McDaniels. He didn’t want to give up on the offensive coordinator last season.
