Josh McDaniels is on a good way to get the Las Vegas Raiders head coaching job. The New England Patriots will have to find another offensive coordinator. It will be hard, but they can definitely pull out a nice deal in the offseason. How does McDaniels feel about his interview with the Raiders? There are so many theories about his future in Las Vegas.

McDaniels has been making headlines with his potential departure from New England. Several sources suggest that he has been calling coaches around the NFL to pack his potential staff. In other words, McDaniels seems to be really excited about the idea of coaching his own team. The Athletic’s Jeff Howe shared similar sentiment. According to him, the Patriots offensive coordinator likes his chances of coaching the Raiders in 2022. We can definitely understand that. It’s a big opportunity for him.

“Sources close to Josh McDaniels feel very strongly about his chances to land with the Raiders,” Howe tweeted Thursday night. “This connection has been building since last week. Still needs to go through the interview process and align with the right GM, but there’s momentum.”

Others say that McDaniels will have his interview with the Raiders because he is super positive about the job. He wouldn’t have this interview under different conditions.

McDaniels got the attention of many NFL teams for so many reasons. He did incredible job with the Patriots offense. His recent work with Mac Jones increased his value on the market. Jones led the Patriots to a seven-game winning streak. Rookies don’t usually do this in their first seasons with their teams.

Bill Belichick’s offensive coordinator will have to work with a new quarterback in Las Vegas. McDaniels is probably ready for this job because he tried to land one in multiple occasions. Belichick knew how to keep him in New England, but this time the rumors are too loud. Everything points to the fact that McDaniels will soon leave the Patriots. He has been part of the occasions for over a decade.
