Lakers’ Russell Westbrook Calls Out Miles Bridges After Taunt

Russell Westbrook got really mad when Miles Bridges said he was too small. Oh wait. He wasn’t mad. He was motivated to help the Los Angeles Lakers win. It didn’t help, but Westbrook really hit 11 of the last 13 points in the game against the Charlotte Hornets.

Bridges made a huge mistake. He was assessed a technical and Broddie decided to teach him a lesson.

Reporters asked Westbrook about the taunt and he was really honest.

“I think he was trying to say I was too small or something. And he and I know that ain’t the case,” Westbrook told the media.

Bridges learned the lesson…

“I was just having fun,” he said. “Russell does that every time he scores on someone smaller than him and I did it to him and I got a tech. Hopefully I get my money back, it’s all good.”

Well, he shouldn’t mess with the Lakers star. We do hope that he got the message.

“Russell Westbrook — he gets all the hate in the world but you got to praise the man,” Bridges said. “He’s an MVP in this league, made the finals. He’s a great player, man. All the hate he gets, I don’t get it. But yeah, Russell Westbrook did a great job.”

Russell Westbrook is motivated by Miles Bridges

He is absolutely right about this. The front office got him for a reason. Westbrook’s talent isn’t doing him a favor at all. He struggles to shoot.

The Lakers have too many problems on the table right now. Westbrook may have to carry the team by himself, because both LeBron James and Anthony Davis may miss more time.

“Yeah, I mean that’s the part that we’re trying to figure out,” Westbrook told reporters after the loss on January 29. “I think ultimately when myself and AD and Bron are on the court, we’ve got to be able to figure that out to where I can still keep my same speed and pace to the basket and allow me to make the game easy for them, and it’s something that we briefly talked about after the game. About positioning, and things they saw tonight from sitting on the bench to be able to help them out.”

Westbrook has a chance to prove his worth and do something with his career. LA wanted to see more of him though.
