LeBron James, Anthony Davis Blasted by Kendrick Perkins For Making Frank Vogel Lakers’ ‘Scapegoat’

LeBron James and Anthony Davis got the attention of Kendrick Perkins, but not in a good way. If you ask Perkins, he will say that the Lakers should place the blame on LeBron and AD.

Perkins made his comments amid all the rumors about head coach Frank Vogel and his potential departure from LA. Vogel is dealing with an avalanche of terrible comments. It seems like some people would gladly place the blame on the head coach. Russell Westbrook has received an unhealthy dose of criticism, too.

Perkins was really shocked. He watched the situation unfold in LA.

LeBron and Davis have yet to respond to the comments Kendrick Perkins made

Vogel missed a few games after testing positive for COVID. He developed serious symptoms and David Fizdale stepped in as his replacement. The Lakers lost most of the games during this stretch. Vogel returned to the field, but the struggles continued.

Both LeBron and Davis missed a big chunk of the regular season due to injuries. Davis is still out. His MRI returned clean and he can have contact workout. Hopefully, Davis’ return will help the Lakers win more games.

Perkins didn’t place the blame on Davis and LeBron. He just wants them to support their head coach. Vogel did a wonderful job with the Lakers and he actually helped the team win a championship inside the Orlando bubble. Everyone blames him for the terrible record in the regular season.

Rumors suggest that the Lakers have already considered firing Vogel. They wanted to do so after the blowout loss to the Denver Nuggets. The Lakers actually watched him coach during the game against the Utah Jazz. He coached to keep his job. Luckily, the Lakers won the game. Vogel’s position is safe for now as reported by several sources. Let’s see what happens in the next few games. LA has to win these games, otherwise Vogel will have to find a new job.
