LeBron James’ Veteran Teammate Gives Harsh Reality Check on Lakers Ugly Mindset

The Los Angeles Lakers still struggle to win games in the regular season. The 2021-22 NBA season is really frustrating for the Lakers fanbase. Fans are really angry. What’s wrong? When did things go wrong? Lakers veteran Avery Bradley talked about the team’s ugly mindset, and this makes things clearer for some people.

Bradley talked about the most recent struggles his teammates had, reminding them all of the ugly reality.

If you ask the veteran, he will say that the Lakers didn’t even try to improve in the regular season. Bradley believes that the Lakers haven’t learned from the mistakes. Jimmy Butler and his Miami Heat teammates got the best of Sunday’s game and Lakers players are disappointed for obvious reasons. Well, LA should do better than this. Players have to try harder to fix the damage.

“We are not learning from our mistakes and as a veteran team as a team that is looking to go far in the postseason, I feel like we have to correct our mistakes and learn from those,” Bradley said. “We just have to play better. It’s unfortunate, but tonight I liked our fight, but it was too late like I said.”

Lakers players have to change the ugly mindset

Bradley doesn’t have a big role with the team and his stats say it all. He saw action in 34 games with the team, averaging 7.0 points and 1.4 triples. The Lakers need better than this. The front office got Bradley just because they thought he’d contribute to the game.

“I think the main thing was the intensity. Just a little too late,” Bradley said. “We not only dug a hole for ourselves, but I think when we tried to match their intensity, the referees I would say they weren’t ready for our intensity, it was almost too late when we tried to raise our level of play.”

Bradley has been mentioned in several trade talks. Some say the Lakers should trade him and Russell Westbrook to the Los Angeles Clippers. Well, Clippers front office wouldn’t really help their city rivals, right?
