Report: LeBron James Center Experiment Has Supercharged Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers switched lanes and the LeBron James center experiment seems to be working really good for the team. Lakers coaches are doing an excellent job. LA had to make a change because players lost too many games. The team entered the regular season as favorite to win the championship. Things didn’t go the way everyone planned. Players sustained serious injuries and some of them had to undergo a surgery. The COVID-19 pandemic had an impact on the gameplan as well. Head coach Frank Vogel was out and David Fizdale had to take care of the team. It didn’t really work.

Anthony Davis was set to miss an entire time. Yes, LA had to make some changes.

Lakers players lost five games in a row and the new gameplan helped them win five of the last six games. Impressive, huh?

Vogel to continue with the LeBron James center experiment

King James is the ultimate leader for the team but he needed some extra help from his coaches and teammates. Vogel moved him to center and this seems to be one of the best decisions so far. We have a few good reasons to believe that the Lakers will follow the same pattern in the next few months. They shouldn’t change the plan even after AD returns from injury. He should go back in at the four and let LeBron do the job at center.

Players have to be more consistent to keep winning in the regular season. The front office is expected to make a few more moves to bring in new players or get rid of DeAndre Jordan or other players.

LeBron is pretty happy with his current performance and so is Russell Westbrook. These two had some struggles early in the regular season, but they are fine now.

The NBA was dealing with a surge in new COVID cases and pretty much every team struggled to replace absent players. Let’s hope that LA won’t lose more players to the virus. It’s time to avoid serious issues and focus on those wins.
