Report: Three Patriots Players Clear COVID Protocol Ahead Of Jaguars Game

The New England Patriots will play their first game in the new year. Patriots players will meet the Jacksonville Jaguars, but fans aren’t too worried about this game. It’s an easy bite for everyone and the latest update makes this game even less challenging. According to Jim McBride from The Boston Globe, three Patriots players have cleared COVID protocol. What does that mean? These guys will be able to suit up in Sunday’s game. New England will get the much needed boost on the defense.

Outside linebacker Matthew Judon, inside linebacker Ja’Whaun Bentley, and special teamer Brandon King are no longer part of the COVID list.

McBride provided additional info in his report. Veteran linebacker Dont’a Hightower will join his teammates Sunday. The veteran didn’t join his teammates in Friday’s practice session, but he is good to go now.

Head coach Bill Belichick always has a backup plan. However, he won’t need a Plan B this time as he got three defensive starters back in the fold.

Patriots players clear COVID protocol, ready to win

This is more than good news for each and every Patriots fan out there. The team lost two straight games. The Indianapolis Colts were never supposed to win the game. We’d use the same comment for the Buffalo Bills. These guys were seeking revenge and got things their way. It’s time for a change. Rookie quarterback Mac Jones and his teammates are on a good way to win the remaining games on their schedule. New England has to win these games otherwise the team will stay outside the playoff picture.

There are several obstacles on the way though. Brian Hoyer is on the COVID list and Jarrett Stidham will probably step up as a backup for Jones. Linebacker Josh Uche has yet to clear his COVID protocol.

Let’s see how will things roll for the Patriots. We have great expectations from the team. They did have a seven-game winning streak. It’s time to add a couple of wins to the chart. Belichick and his players can do this and a lot more. It’s showtime, everyone!
