Watch: Kristian Wilkerson Catch First NFL Touchdown In Jaguars-Patriots

Kristian Wilkerson will always remember his first touchdown with the New England Patriots. Sunday is a big day for the talented player. I guess Bill Belichick knew what he was doing when he signed the Southeast Missouri State product to his practice squad.

Wilkerson had great performance in his third game with the team. He had his first catch in the first quarter of the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Things took a better turn for the talented player, and Wilkerson had his very first touchdown. This is something you celebrate, right?

Rookie quarterback Mac Jones found Wilkerson after faking a pass to Kendrick Bourne. Wilkerson used the opportunity and got the best of the play. New England got a 21-3 lead. It’s time to win!

Kristian Wilkerson wins with his first touchdown

Head coach Belichick knows his job. Third-year wide receiver N’Keal Harry was limited participant earlier this week because he was dealing with a health issue. However, the team removed him from Friday’s injury report. What does that mean? Harry didn’t get a chance to play against the Jaguars. He dropped the ball twice in the loss to the Buffalo Bills and Belichick kept him at the sideline as a healthy scratch.

This created an excellent opportunity for Wilkerson. The team elevated him from the practice unit. Wilkerson made a really good move. We have at least one good reason to believe that Wilkerson will use this game to show the Patriots that he deserves a bigger role with the team. He seems to be the perfect replacement for Harry.

We can freely say that Harry is on his way out. He looked good in training camp and many thought that he’d give up on his trade request. Now is the right time to make a decision. Replacing Harry with Wilkerson seems like a reasonable option for everyone. The Patriots will probably make a decision in the offseason. They wouldn’t pull out a big move at this point. They will probably watch Wilkerson and his improvement. Wilkerson’s great performance may force Harry out of the team.
