Coach Frank Vogel Gives Key Update on Guard That Complicate Things For Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers are relatively healthy, but their current record is not that exciting. The team keeps losing games despite having both LeBron James and Anthony Davis on the floor. Lakers head coach Frank Vogel provided an update on his players, including guard Kendrick Nunn.

The front office signed a bunch of players in the offseason, and Nunn was one of them. It was one of the best additions for the team, but things didn’t go the way Rob Pelinka planned. Nunn sustained injury and hasn’t seen any action with the Lakers yet. He is nothing but a trade asset at the moment. Truth is, Nunn has been linked to many teams and the Lakers have a few good reasons to trade him. They really need to sign new players to upgrade the roster. Nunn, Talen Horton-Tucker, and Trevor Ariza may soon leave the team.

Here’s the catch. Nunn’s condition is a bit complicated, and the Lakers won’t be able to trade him that easily.

Frank Vogel provided an update on the injured guard, Pelinka won’t be able to trade him

The Lakers had their practice on Monday, and Vogel provided an update on his injured players. According to him, Nunn is having on-court work, but is “still not really ramped up where he’s close to playing.” We all know what that means. This is bad news for the Lakers fanbase. Nunn may not get a chance to play with the Lakers before the trade deadline.

Nunn is 26, and he has so much to offer. Pelinka thought that he’d be an excellent addition to the backcourt, but this injury changed it all.

Carmelo Anthony is dealing with a lot of problems, too. He missed the game against the New York Knicks due to a hamstring strain. Melo sustained this injury in the loss to the city rivals. Vogel added that he will probably miss another game.

Dwight Howard was a late scratch in the game against the New York Knicks. He had his back tighten up during practice and didn’t even join his teammates for practice Monday. Will he play on Tuesday?
