LeBron James’ Camp Refutes Report of Rift With Lakers

LeBron James is making the biggest headlines with his rift with the Los Angeles Lakers front office. Truth is, the situation in LA is not as it seems after all.

The whole thing started when LeBron sung praise for executive managers in the NBA. He praised Les Snead and Sam Presti for their efforts. According to LeBron, Presti is the “MPV” for spotting talented players. Many thought he was taking a jab at Rob Pelinka for not making a move at the trade deadline.

LeBron James’ rift with the Lakers doesn’t exist

Eric Pincus from Bleacher report said that Klutch Sports is not happy with the whole situation. Well, Rich Paul and Stephen A. Smith discussed the issue, and the host share some details on Monday’s episode of First Take.

“Rich Paul called me yesterday and asked me to quote him on this story about him, and Klutch Sports, and essentially them wanting the Lakers to trade Russell Westbrook and a first-round pick to Houston for John Wall,” Smith said. “He wanted me to state emphatically that there was absolutely, positively no truth to that whatsoever. Never did that. He did not do that. The people who wrote the story never contacted him to get any kind of perspective from him on that.

“It is an absolute lie, and he said ‘could you please do me a favor and quote me and tell the world that I specifically said that’s a damn lie. There is no truth. It never happened.’ Just for what it’s worth, that’s what Rich Paul says about these stories that have been put out there. Fair enough. So I quoted him.”

LeBron sure knows how to make people talk. However, he and Paul are not happy when people come up with fake stories. Let’s just see how the whole thing ends. LeBron and Anthony Davis could easily use new teammates at this point. AD has sustained an injury and is expected to miss a lot of time. Pelinka had other plans and he is finishing the regular season with the same roster.
