LeBron James Sends Strong Message on Future With Lakers

LeBron James talked about his future plans. Again. I guess this is the hottest topic these days. Everyone makes comments on LeBron’s next move. Will he leave the Los Angeles Lakers? Will he go back to Cleveland? His wife Savannah added fuel to the fire with a photo of Akron saying “there’s no place like home.”

In the postgame press conference, LeBron talked about his future and yes, he wants to be a Laker. Did this answer your questions?

“I live in the moment. And I see myself being with the purple and gold as long as I can play,” LeBron told the media.

LeBron James doesn’t know what the future holds for him

He doesn’t like the fact that people took his comments on Sam Pesti as a shot at Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka.

“You guys take my words and just twist them to different places where they shouldn’t go. Like if I comment or compliment the GM that’s in OKC,” LeBron said. “I really believe that he’s done a phenomenal job. And you guys spin that to me saying that Rob [Pelinka] is not doing a great job. Or if I say the GM from the Rams, I loved his f****** T-shirt. I thought it was dope. And I believe the same way. I don’t care about picks. I only care about winning championships.”

Someone mentioned LeBron’s return to the Cleveland Cavaliers during the All-Star Weekend. A lot of people believe that he will probably finish his career as a Cavaliers superstar.

“The door’s not closed on that,” LeBron told The Athletic on Saturday. “I’m not saying I’m coming back and playing, I don’t know. I don’t know what my future holds. I don’t even know when I’m free.”

We can definitely agree on this one. LeBron can’t predict his future. He will do the best for his family. The only thing he knows is that he will spend his final year with his oldest son Bronny. The kid can join the NBA in 2024.

LeBron shuts down rumors

When it comes to rumors, LeBron got used to that. He has been around for almost two decades and rumors have nothing on him. He just doesn’t like the fact that people come up with ignorant stories.

“I don’t understand how some of my comments over the weekend were taken to a whole different area… I never said I could see myself playing in a Cavaliers uniform. Talked to Jason Lloyd [of The Athletic] and he asked me, and I said ‘well, I don’t know what tomorrow holds, but actually me playing for the Cavs, I don’t know. I don’t know about that. Could I see myself retiring as a Cav?’ And he asked me, like ‘what if you just came here and signed for a day and retired as a Cav?’ And I said ‘that possibly could be.’”
