Report: Several Executives Believe Bronny James Currently Projects to be a 2nd-Round Pick

LeBron James is really proud of his oldest son, but some execs believe that Bronny James is nothing but a second-round pick. The Cleveland Browns got LeBron with the first overall pick in the 2003 draft. I guess the son won’t follow the same pattern. Initial reports suggest that Bronny is probably a sixth overall selection in his group. Eric Pincus from Bleacher Report released a surprising report on Bronny’s current position in the NBA world.

“Having polled several executives, Bronny James probably projects to be a second-round pick at this point, though it’s too early to say with any certainty,” wrote Pincus. “A team could reach for the son to lure the father.”

Bronny is entering the NBA in 2024. LeBron has a few good seasons left in the tank, and he’d love to spend the last one around his son. The four-time NBA champion dreams of sharing the same court with his oldest son. To be honest, this is reasonable scenario for both the father and his son.

Bronny James could still be a higher pick

NBA teams have shown good interest in Bronny. He is the son of LeBron James and he got some good basketball genes. Is he better than his father? We won’t dig into this one.

LeBron is a loyal Laker, meaning the Los Angeles Lakers could get Bronny in 2024. If the Lakers don’t draft his son, LeBron will definitely go somewhere else. He is willing to join the team that gets his son. That’s his biggest wish. Klutch Sports plays a big role in the NBA, and the Lakers may be pressured into getting the young king.

The coin has two sides. NBA teams could try and get Bronny just because they want to get his father.

Latest reports suggest that LeBron doesn’t have the best relationship with his general manager. Rob Pelinka didn’t make a move at the trade deadline, and LeBron is not happy at all. Some say he has started a cold war against his team. Yes, LeBron really praised other executives. Did he take a shot at Pelinka?
