Shaq Reaction To The Dunk Contest Is Going Viral

Shaquille O’Neal stole the spotlight once again. Big Shaq made headlines all while sitting in his chair during the Dunk Contest. Great Shaq watched players pull out their dunk skills, and his reaction went viral. The NBA icon couldn’t hide his frustration. I guess he didn’t like what he saw during the dunk contest.

New York Knicks forward Obi Toppin beat Golden State Warriors forward Juan Toscano-Anderson in the final. He is the third Knicks player to win a Slam Dunk Contest. Nate Robinson and Kenny Walker had the same luck.

NBA fans agree with Shaq about the dunk contest and their reactions are viral, too

O’Neal is not the only one to express his frustration. NBA fans were pretty sure that other players should have won the contest. Ja Morant and Miles Bridges were some of the names they mentioned.

“Mannn we need Miles Bridges, Ant Edwards and Ja Morant next year,” one user said.

“Worst Dunk Contest of all-time,” another tweeted.

“Looks like my dad when he came to an away game knowing I was gonna sit the bench the whole time,” joked a fan.

“Lmfaooooo this was my mood watching that BS too,” another laughed.

“Joakim Noah told ya’ll Cleveland really sucks.”

“Shaq looks like ‘unless you can SHATTER GLASS AND BREAK THE ENTIRE RIM, don’t talk to me!’” another added.

This contest is definitely an exciting event. It was first held in 1984 and both Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant have won it. Jordan, Dominique Wilkins, Harold Miner, Nate Robinson, and Zach LaVine are the only athletes to win this event on more than one occasion. Robinson is the only one to have won the dunk contest three times.

This year’s winner has probably earned the award, but NBA fans aren’t happy with the contest in general. It lacked excitement and aggressiveness. That’s what dunks are all about, right?

O’Neal is doing his best to stay away from the spotlight. However, he doesn’t miss an opportunity to deliver an advice or criticize teams for failing to meet everyone’s expectation. He also had an advice for the Lakers regarding their bad season.
