Watch: LeBron James Couldn’t Stop Laughing After Kevin Durant Picked Rudy Gobert Over James Harden

LeBron James and Kevin Durant picked their teammates for their All-Star teams, but James Harden didn’t join his former teammate. I guess Durant didn’t want Harden on his team. They cut ties after the Brooklyn Nets traded Harden and Paul Millsap to the Philadelphia 76ers. The Nets got Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, and Andre Drummond. What happened in Brooklyn? I guess we’ll never find out.

Let’s go back to LeBron and his rival. He and Durant took part in the NBA All-Star Game draft. Rudy Gobert and Harden were next on the list. Durant went with Gobert. Why? His excuse was so hilarious that LeBron couldn’t stop laughing. He covered his face so no one could see him laugh.

LeBron and Durant make picks, Harden joins TLB

According to Durant, Gobert makes more sense than Harden. He is playing against big guys and he needs big defense. Really? This is not related to Durant’s departure from Brooklyn? Oh, we didn’t bit into this one.

“That size is really going to help me when you’ve got LeBron and Giannis out there, so great picks toward the end of the draft,” Durant said.

It’s interesting to note that Durant won’t play against LeBron in the All-Star game. He is dealing with a knee injury.

LeBron got Giannis Antetokoumpo, Stephen Curry, DeMar DeRozan, Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic, Darius Garland, Chris Paul, Jimmy Butler, Donovan Mitchell, Fred VanVleet, and of course, Harden. Durant got Joel Embiid, Ja Morant, Jayson Tatum, Trae Young, Andrew Wiggins, Devin Booker, Karl-Anthony Towns, Zach LaVine, DeJounte Murray, Khris Middleton, LaMelo Ball, and Rudy Gobert.

This is just a motivational game for NBA players. Pretty much everyone is focused on the regular season. NBA teams struggle at the moment. LeBron’s Lakers have a bad record and his team didn’t even make a move ahead of the trade deadline. Durant’s team traded Durant despite the fact that many thought he’d be the third superstar on the roster. The Nets already had Durant and Kyrie Irving. Getting Harden was a good decision, but they traded him during the regular season.
