Wild Trade Proposal From Insider Has Lakers Landing 2 All-Stars

The Los Angeles Lakers have lost too manes in the regular season, and Anthony Davis is missing time again. He is dealing with a mid-foot strain and the team will have him back in a month. Rob Pelinka really hopes to have Davis back on the floor by the end of the regular season. How will the Lakers fill up the gap? According to an NBA insider, there’s a wild trade proposal for the Lakers.

Chris Broussard from Fox Sports suggested a deal for LA and the Miami Heat. Yes, it revolves around Davis. The big man is missing too much time due to injuries and his game is not as good as it used to be in his debut season with the Lakers.

Wild trade proposal sends Jimmy Butler to the Lakers

Will Pelinka ever consider trading Davis for Bam Adebayo? The front office gave him a nice contract extension, and everyone was happy about it. Davis’ struggles may lead the team to a different direction.

“Somebody who works in the league, works with a lot of players, we talked after the deadline, said he would’ve done Anthony Davis for Bam Adebayo,” Broussard said on The Odd Couple. “I disagree … I would do him for Bam and Jimmy [Butler] … we know Riley likes stars. He might do that.”

When healthy, Davis is better than Adebayo and Butler. We know what he did inside the NBA bubble in Orlando. He sustained too many injuries in the past couple of seasons and the situation doesn’t look good at all.

Butler is 32 and has trouble connecting with each and every teammate. He would definitely have trouble taking the position behind LeBron James. Adebayo has a long history of injuries as well. In other words, trading Davis for these two doesn’t make sense in so many aspects.

The Lakers traded a few young players to get AD from the New Orleans Pelicans. He helped them win a title after all. Davis decided to stay with the team despite the fact that he had a few good options, such as going back to Chicago. He and LeBron have established a good relationship. Trading him to Miami would be a bad call.
