Brandon Bolden Shares Medical Update After Latest Scans

Ready for some good news? New England Patriots running back Brandon Bolden battled cancer in 2018 and it’s time for another medical update.

Bolden took to his Twitter to share the good news. He is cancer-free! That’s more than great news for Bolden and people who care about him.

Brandon Bolden wasn’t always willing to provide a medical update

Bolden didn’t talk about his cancer until December, 2021. It was a hard battle for him but he made it. Bolden was diagnosed with epidermoid carcinoma, a form of skin cancer, and had to undergo a surgery to fix it. The running back was 28 at the time and had his cancer removed following Super Bowl LII. It was an unpleasant experience and Bolden even lost function of the right side of his face. Everything is fine now. As you all know, he played all 16 games with the Miami Dolphins the following season.

“I don’t ever talk about it,” Bolden said in December. “I rarely talk about it. It never stopped me from doing anything and didn’t hinder me from anything. It was just one of those things me and my family dealt with and just kept pushing and kept everything as normal as possible.”

In December, the Patriots running back shared photos of his stay in the hospital. He was feeling really good and decided to go through some photos. He told the world that he had cancer and celebrated his great victory. It’s been four years now and Bolden feels really good. The surgery was kind of his reset. It helped him learn a lot of new things about himself.

Bolden joined the American Association for Cancer Research just because he wanted to help people like him. There’s an event in April and Bolden will use the opportunity to support cancer patients. He is here to help others and be a voice for people who live their worst nightmare.

The veteran is coming off of a really good season with the Patriots. He won a lot of games with rookie quarterback Mac Jones and they have an excellent connection on the field.
