Kyle Kuzma Heartfelt Message to LA After First Game Back

The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Washington Wizards last night. This game was actually a reunion of Lakers players. Kyle Kuzma came to LA for the first time since he was traded to the Wizards and he delivered a big message following the game.

The Lakers traded Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Montrezl Harrell to get Russell Westbrook. Well, this experiment didn’t work for obvious reasons. Russ struggled to make an impact and he is not a good fit for the team.

When it comes to Kuzma, he is doing a decent job with his new team. Kuzma was great early in his career with the Lakers, but things changed right after the front office got LeBron James. Something snapped and Kuzma faced a big problem on the floor. The Lakers made a decision and he ended up in Washington.

Kyle Kuzma was happy about his LA game

Kuzma may be out of LA now, but he was more than excited about his return to the big city.

“I established myself [in L.A.] and it’s really, really cool,” said Kuzma. “I’m just a kid from Flint, Michigan at the end of the day. I always think about that, being from a small town coming to L.A. and just making some noise. That’s the American dream, honestly, for me.”

The Lakers were happy to have Kuzma back too. They honored him with a tribute video.

“It means I’ve got a legacy here at the end of the day,” Kuzma said. “This is the team that drafted me. I spent four years here. Laker Nation and being a Laker is forever in my heart. We won a championship here. We did a lot of great things.”

Kuzma had a lot of chances to improve his performance. The Lakers roster changed over the years but Kuzma’s situation got worse overtime. Lakers fans weren’t happy with his performance and some of them hoped to see him out for good. Well, Kuzma is out now and tries to build good legacy in Washington.

The Lakers added a win to their chart, but they have to try even harder to make the big game.
