Lakers Hint at Booting Russell Westbrook From Starting Lineup

The Los Angeles Lakers dropped a hint at Russell Westbrook and it has something to do with his spot in the starting lineup. LeBron James and Anthony Davis really wanted Broddie to join the team. Did it work? No, it turned out to be the worst move LA has made in the last few years. Getting Westbrook didn’t pay off and the nine-time All-Star struggles to make an impact. NBA analysts would agree that Westbrook is incredibly competitive. He just isn’t the right fit for LA.

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel discussed the situation inside the locker room. If you think that Westbrook should be removed from the starting lineup, congratulations, Vogel probably shares the same opinion with you.

“We’ve talked about everything,” Vogel told the media when asked about Westbrook’s removal from the lineup.

Lakers hint at Russell Westbrook, he doesn’t give up

Broddie had high expectations from his season with the team. He was determined to win, but things didn’t go the way he planned. One thing stands for sure – Westbrook tries to be the best version of himself. Heckling fans wouldn’t agree with this.

“My role and what I’m doing has changed every single night,” Westbrook said after the loss to the Clippers. “So I’m just trying to figure that out as I’m playing and to be able to benefit and help my team.

“But my expectations are still the same. I’m not a quitter. It’s not in my genes. I don’t quit, regardless of what the hell is going on. I’m going to fight to the end, and if it don’t work, that’s cool, too. I can live with the results. But I’m never going to give up or give in because of a little struggle that’s happening this time of the year.”

Rob Pelinka didn’t agree to trade Russell Westbrook for John Wall. The Houston Rockets wanted a first-rounder, too.

Lakers players struggle to win games, but LeBron wouldn’t shut down his season. Everyone is trying to make the much needed adjustment. Those experiments may not work for now, but hey, we are still optimists.
