Malcolm Butler Is Getting The Comeback He Deserves In New England

The New England Patriots were more than happy to get Malcolm Butler back and fans are excited about his comeback. Head coach Bill Belichick will be working with one of the best players he has ever coached. Butler has a change to finish his career right and he will probably do so as a Patriot.

The Patriots offered Butler a two-year deal worth $9 million. Fans went crazy after the news of his return broke. Butler is back in the fold and fans support his return. Let’s not forget that Butler is one of the best cornerbacks in Patriots history.

Butler thought it would be nice if he retires. He announced his retirement and the world was shocked. Well, Butler did the right thing and had personal situation to handle. The veteran didn’t share any details of his problem, leaving us with all the thoughts in our head.

Malcolm Butler has high expectations from his comeback

The Patriots signed one of their best players and Butler decided to come back after his retirement. He came out of his retirement to play with the Patriots again. He did this despite the infamous benching.

Head coach Bill Belichick benched Butler in the Super Bowl and this is another mystery in the life of the veteran cornerback. Belichick has never talked about this. He had a reason to stay mum on the whole thing.

Butler played with the Tennessee Titans and stacked great stats, recording nine interceptions with two returns for a score. In his four seasons with the Patriots, he had eight interceptions.

The veteran is joining the Patriots at the right time. He is expected to have a big role in the secondary and truth is, Belichick needs cornerbacks at this point of the season. He will enter the 2022 season with a different roster and the team really needed a familiar name.

Belichick will have a long offseason to fill the holes on his roster. Jonathan Jones has a nice suggesting for the head coach. Buther is back and jones would love to see Stephon Gilmore put on a Patriots uniform again.
