Mark Cuban Sounds off on LeBron James Recent ‘Super Smart’ Move

Mark Cuban heard the comments LeBron James made during the All-Star Weekend and yes, he was pretty surprised. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar received a lot of questions about his future with the team. LeBron would love to retire as a Laker, but he’d also love to play with his oldest son Bronny. The kid will be eligible to join the NBA in 2024 and LeBron will be 40 at that point.

“My last year will be played with my son. Wherever Bronny is at, that’s where I’ll be,” LeBron told the media. “I would do whatever it takes to play with my son for one year. It’s not about the money at that point.”

Playing with the Lakers was like a dream come true for LeBron. He joined the Lakers at the right time. LeBron actually helped them win the 17th title in team history. A lot of injuries happened in the meantime and LeBron missed a lot of games. Did this change his future plans? No, LeBron still wants to finish his NBA career as a Laker. That’s a priority.

“I see myself being with the purple and gold as long as I can play, but also, I have a goal that if it’s possible, and I don’t even know if it’s possible, but if I can play with my son, I would love to do that,” LeBron said. “That’s like the coolest thing that could possibly happen. That doesn’t mean I don’t want to be with this franchise.”

In other words, LeBron will leave the Lakers to play with his son.

Mark Cuban reads through latest LeBron James comments

Cuban heard the comments LeBron made and discussed the topic on the “Pardon My Take” podcast. According to Cuban, LeBron played a really smart game. This was the king’s plan to make NBA teams interested in Bronny’s skills.

LeBron plays his best basketball despite his age. We have a few good reasons to say that he can offer a few strong seasons. Maybe teams would be interested in getting Bronny just because he can take his father with him.
