Patriots Host Super Bowl Champion RB for Free Agent Visit

The New England Patriots had to fill up some of the holes on their roster. They hosted a group of free agents for tryouts and some of these players can easily join the 2022 roster. Head coach Bill Belichick is looking for running backs, wide receivers, cornerbacks, and much more. Well, New England made a move and gave Leonard Fournette a chance to show his skills. The Patriots decided to host the Super Bowl champion RB for a free agent visit because they need help at running back.

Fournette is in a familiar situation at the moment. He has entered free agency on a few occasions in the past. The Tampa Bay buccaneers gave him a deal and he won a Super Bowl with the team. He has excellent connection with Tom Brady and the Buccaneers got the best of their chemistry.

Patriots host talented champion RB

Fournette entered free agency again and the Patriots invited him for a free agent visit on Monday. Belichick has high expectations from visiting players and Fournette may be of great help for the team. Ben Volin from The Boston Globe was the first to report Fournette’s arrival in New England.

The Buccaneers got the best of Fournette. He spent some time with the Jacksonville Jaguars but they sent him straight to Tampa Bay. In his two seasons with Brady and his teammates, Fournette delivered great performance and earned a ring.

Fournette is not as lethal as he used to be but his dominance could spice up the gameplan in New England. Belichick likes versatile players and Fournette has a nice palette of talents.

The Patriots have Damien Harris on the running unit and he is joined by Rhamondre Stevenson, James White, J.J. Taylor, and Ty Montgomery. The Patriots were in a tricky situation because White was about to enter free agency but he re-signed with the team. His new deal with the Patriots came like a huge relief to each and every fan out there. Who will be the next player to join the team? Belichick has a few targets on the table.
