Potential Patriots Target Stephon Gilmore Reportedly Has Another AFC Suitor

The New England Patriots have brought a few familiar name back and they can easily make a move to get another veteran cornerback. Stephon Gilmore can find his way back to New England, but the Patriots is not the only suitor for the 2019 Defensive player of the year.

Jordan Schultz reported that the Kansas City Chiefs have shown interest in the former Patriots cornerback. Moreover, they have “actively communicated” with the veteran. What does it mean? Will Gilmore opt for a deal with the AFC contender? Matt Verdarame made similar reports and doubled down on Schultz’s report. The Chiefs made a few big moves so far and they will sure try to fill the holes on their roster with talented players. To be honest, Gilmore is one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL.

There’s more. Jeremy Fowler from ESPN predicts a deal between the Chiefs and Gilmore. He believes that the Chiefs will try to get a veteran cornerback. The Chiefs could also go from James Bradberry from the New York Giants. Bradberry is definitely a release candidate and he won’t have trouble finding himself a new home in the league.

Stephon Gilmore to find his best suitor

Gilmore has been a free agent for quite some time. It’s not like he doesn’t have any suitors. He is probably trying to get as many offers as possible and make the best move for his career. The Patriots didn’t give him a deal last offseason and traded him away. Gilmore has made a name for himself in the NFL and has a chance to finish his career with a ring. He will also give his best to get a lot of money, too.

Several Patriots players are pretty excited about the idea of having Gilmore back on the team. Jonathan Jones want the cornerback to join his team. Malcolm Butler is back despite the infamous benching and maybe the Patriots should get Gilmore too. These two would be lethal for opposing teams and that’s exactly what Bill Belichick wants from his players. Let’s see what happens next.
