Robert Kraft Not Happy With Patriots’ Last 3 Seasons

The New England Patriots didn’t have too much luck in the last few seasons. Tom Brady left the team in 2020 and joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His departure triggered an avalanche of changes within the organization. The Patriots relied on Cam Newton but missed the playoffs. In 2021, they had a talented rookie at center. Mac Jones led the team to a seven-game winning streak, but it wasn’t enough. The Patriots lost the wild-card game to the Buffalo Bills and their season was over. Team owner Robert Kraft is not happy with this and he would definitely love to see his team make the big game.

“It bothers me that we haven’t been able to win a playoff game in the last three years,” Kraft told reporters.

Robert Kraft is not happy with the draft picks

Last season, the Patriots owner encouraged Bill Belichick to pack the roster with talent. The Patriots traded for a few great players and also signed top names. The class of rookies was great and the Patriots showed great potential. Well, they didn’t win the Super Bowl. It’s interesting to note that Brady and his new team came to New England in Week 4 and of course, won the game. Johnson made sure he makes things really difficult for the Buccaneers. It was a tight game and the Patriots had a chance to win it.

Belichick knows that his players have so much to work on right now. He lost some of the veterans in free agency and Julian Edelman is still retired. Matthew Slater is here and so is Malcolm Butler. Devin McCourty will stay with the team for another season. Jonathan Jones wants Stephon Gilmore to join the team again. The veteran left the Patriots through a trade last season, but hit the open market again. Will Belichick give him another chance? Will Kraft agree to see him put on a Patriots uniform?

There are so many options for the team this offseason and hopefully, scouts will make Kraft happy. Let’s see what happens in September.
