Trent Brown Reportedly Taking Free Agent Visit With This Team

Head coach Bill Belichick may be forced to reshape his entire roster. The New England Patriots lost Kyle Van Noy, JC Jackson, Chase Winovich, Ted Karras, Shaq Mason, and Brandon Bolden in the offseason. They may also lose Trent Brown as he is getting free agent visits.

The Patriots can’t afford losing another starting offensive lineman, but hey, players are free to do whatever they want in free agency. Brown is well aware of his potential and he may try to get more money for that.

Adam Schefter from ESPN reported that Brown took free agent visit with the Seattle Seahawks. If Brown leaves the team in free agency, Belichick will have to cover up a big hole on his offensive line.

Trent Brown to leave the Patriots in free agency?

Brown is more than happy to be a Patriot. However, he is interested in signing a long-term deal. Will Belichick give him a bigger deal? Brown is 28 and his game is really sharp.

“For me, at this point in my career, I’m going into Year 8,” Brown said on “The Schultz Report” podcast. “I would like to find a place that I could call home for the next eight years and just leave a legacy — a winning legacy — and kind of just plant roots somewhere. My kids are getting older, so all the moving around and stuff, I want them to have some familiarity with places and people. I know it’s always a lot of moving parts in this business, but I want to get somewhere I can win and build a legacy — a lasting legacy.”

So, Brown is looking for a home. He is probably looking a team he can finish his NFL career with and we all know what that means. Belichick doesn’t mind letting go of talented players who seek bigger deals. Brown is planning his future and the future of his kids, and he doesn’t like moving around a lot. We can definitely understand that. Let’s see if the Patriots allow him to build a lasting legacy as their player. It’s a big decision for both parties.
