DeVante Parker Flashes First Look in a Patriots Uniform

DeVante Parker has finally put on a Patriots uniform. The New England Patriots pulled out an unexpected trade for the veteran wide receiver. According to Patriots director of player personnel Matthew Groh, Matt Patricia helped the team get Parker and a 2022 fifth-rounder. They are sending a 2023 third-rounder to Miami. Patricia made things easier for the team and this is just the beginning of his great plan for the team. This was an unexpected trade, but the Patriots had to make a move. They had to add depth to the unit. Head coach Bill Belichick doesn’t have a huge cap space this season and he has to play with his current options.

Patriots players were more than excited to see their new teammate in a Patriots uniform.

Kendrick Bourne had an expected reaction to Parker’s photo. These two will do a lot of great things on the football field.

“Oooweee that 11 looking clean! ?? This man finna ball!” said Bourne.

DeVante Parker wears Julian Edelman’s number on his Patriots uniform

As you may have noticed, the Patriots didn’t retire Julian Edelman’s jersey. Parker will get Edelman’s number. The 2018 Super Bowl MPV spent an entire decade with the Patriots, but his number was still available. Patriots fans really like Edelman and they will probably hate the idea of seeing someone else wear his uniform.

Guess what… Parker doesn’t even think about this. He came to New England to win games. He doesn’t have time for heckling fans.

Parker is entering his eighth season in the league. He has stacked 338 receptions for 4,272 yards and 24 touchdowns. Maybe he will do his best to convince loyal Patriots fans that he is the right player to wear Edelman’s number.

Edelman added fuel to the fire. Well, he tried to make everything look like a joke. The former Patriots wide receiver shared a video of a crying kid. That was the ultimate reaction to Parker’s post.

Patriots fans will enjoy watching Parker fit in the 2022 roster. He filled a big void and has a chance to be the No.1 WR for the team.
