Ex-Patriot Criticizes Bill Belichick After Team Reveals Hall Of Fame Finalists

Vince Wilfork, Logan Mankins, and Mike Vrabel made the lists of finalists for the New England Patriots’ 2022 Hall of Fame class. These three worked really hard to get here. Their accomplishment was brilliant and I guess they have earned their spot on this list. Well, Bill Belichick has coached a lot of Hall of Fame finalists. He is the best head coach in league history. Working with Belichick is a great thing, but Asante Samuel is not one of them.

Samuel is not happy with the fact that he didn’t make the list of finalists for the organization’s 2022 Hall of Fame class. The former Patriots cornerback took to Twitter to take a shot at Belichick.

Is Belichick responsible for this?

“Why is my name not on here Coach Belichick,” Samuel tweeted Tuesday morning.

Bill Belichick won games with his Hall of Fame finalists, Samuel is not happy

Samuel left the Patriots in 2007. He earned four Pro Bowl nominations. His situation with the Patriots head coach is really complicated. Samuel claims that Belichick keeps him out of the Patriots Hall of Fame. Belichick has never said anything like this.

The former fourth-round selection uses every opportunity to criticize the Patriots head coach. He once said that he made Belichick understand the cornerback position. There’s more. Belichick and Tom Brady built a dynasty together. They won six Super Bowls and made nine appearances. Belichick has nothing but praise for his former quarterback. Guess what. Samuel doesn’t like any of that.

According to him, Belichick was just blowing smoke. Samuel said the Patriots head coach made actions that don’t match his words. He made these comments right before Belichick met Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4. Of course, the Patriots lost the game, and Samuel used the opportunity to trash Belichick once again. He said the Patriots head coach spent a lot of money in free agency and didn’t even “put a good team together.”

Well, Belichick won’t even respond to this. He has never responded to players’ accusations and negative claims.
