The New England Patriots are busy picking the players they need and Bill Belichick has his eyes set on a few options. The team has to fill a few voids. Belichick and Patriots scouts have discussed many potential targets. The 2022 NFL Draft is already here and yes, it’s packed with great players. Nakobe Dean is on the Patriots’ wish list and his mother made the right comments about Belichick.

NFL analysts believe the Patriots will go after Dean in the draft. Dean was the top linebacker at college and even won the Butkus Award last season. Belichick needs someone like him just because he has the right play-making skills. New England needs strong linebacker and Dean looks strong enough to be a Patriot. Several NFL draft analysts have linked Dean to the Patriots.

Nakobe Dean to join the Patriots, his mother makes praising comments for Belichick

In his NFL Network interview, the linebacker revealed that he is a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. This is not the most shocking comment he made. Dean also said that his mother is a Patriots fan. Oh yes, she is definitely a fan of Belichick and everything he did for the Patriots in the last couple of decades.

“She was always a Patriots fan from as far as I can remember,” the linebacker said. “She was a Bill Belichick fan, I’d say, more so than a Patriots fan. Loves her some Bill Belichick.”

The Mississippi native was given a tongue-in-cheek equation and he had to solve it.

“Nakobe Dean + Matthew Judon x Bill Belichick would equal what?”

“Super Bowl,” Dean said.

NFL teams will get a chance to pick their first players on Thursday, April 28. If the Patriots will have to use their first-round pick to get Dean, because he is definitely going home on Day 1.

The Patriots have to address a few needs this offseason. They need players at several positions and things look really exciting right now.
