Lakers Expected to Bring Back Star Who Has ‘Good Relationship’ with LeBron James

The Los Angeles Lakers have LeBron James on the roster. They will have to build the new roster around LeBron. Again. Well, the Lakers may decide to bring back a star who has great relationship with the four-time NBA champion.

Will they really consider signing Anthony Davis again? Several sources suggest that the Lakers will trade him away following all the struggles he had in the last couple of seasons. AD missed a big chunk of the season and the Lakers lost too many games in his absence.

Michael Scotto from HoopsHype discussed LeBron’s relationship with Davis. Will this affect his role in the franchise?

“LeBron and Anthony Davis believe they can be the foundation of a contender when they’re both fully healthy,” Scotto said on his podcast. “I know that’s a bit of an asterisk with Davis in particular. LeBron has missed some time over the past few years, but generally speaking, he’s pretty healthy. Some people wondered if the Lakers would consider dangling Davis. I personally don’t see that. People have to write stuff. I see the two of them remaining in unison together. Ultimately, Davis went to Klutch Sports to facilitate the trade to get to the Lakers in the first place. He and LeBron have a good relationship.”

Lakers to bring the star player back on the roster

The Lakers big man has received too many questions about his future with the Lakers. Yes, he also heard all the comments about his future in Los Angeles.

“I can’t control those things,” Davis said. “That’s an upstairs thing. A Klutch, Rich Paul thing. My agency. I mean, my job is to go out and play basketball. Obviously, I love it in L.A. If that’s something that they’re considering, then we’ll have a conversation about it. I don’t know what they’re talking about, what’s the plan.

“I mean, I don’t think they’re planning on doing anything [with me]. Don’t know, man. Fu**, I don’t know.”

Davis has great relationship with his teammates. When healthy, he is one of the better players in the NBA.
