Lakers Superstar Fuels Speculation With Recent Social Media Activity

The Los Angeles Lakers won’t be the same next season. The team has just finished a really disappointing season. LeBron James and his teammates didn’t even make the play-in tournament. Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka will have to rearrange the roster and cut players who don’t fit the scheme. Is Russell Westbrook one of them? He struggled to make an impact in his first season with the Lakers. As you may be guessing, the Lakers superstar triggered another major speculation.

The Lakers traded three players and picks to get Russ. Getting him was a big mistake and this experiment didn’t work at all. Westbrook delivered too many bricks and turnovers and fans wanted him out. They call him names. It got so ugly that he didn’t want to bring his family at home games.

Lakers superstar thrives in speculation

The season didn’t end well for Westbrook and he may be on his way out of Los Angeles. His most recent social media activity added fuel to the fire.

Westbrook is an excellent player, but he is not a good fit for the Lakers. He even liked an Instagram comment about him leaving the Lakers. Oh, this is not all. Westbrook deleted all photos of him wearing a Lakers uniform. Yes, he is still wearing a purple and gold uniform on the profile picture.

Russ looked like someone who doesn’t want to stay around. He did say he likes the Lakers and even mentioned some plans for his future. He is a California guy after all. Well, the hometown crowd doesn’t like him and this was an early sign of his departure.

The situation in Los Angeles was really complicated. Westbrook had issues with Lakers coaches. Frank Vogel benched him several times. He even had issues with David Fizdale. Westbrook claimed that he has never had issues with any coach before.

Pelinka is probably looking for ways to trade the All-Star. He didn’t trade Westbrook at the deadline but the superstar will have to go now. The Charlotte Hornets have been mentioned as a possible destination for Russ.
