Latest On N’Keal Harry After DeVante Parker Trade Deal

The New England Patriots will have to make some moves in the offseason. They didn’t make some big moves except for one particular trade. N’Keal Harry may be young and talented, but the Patriots traded for DeVante Parker. Will this trade affect Harry’s future in the NFL? Julian Edelman retired and Parker will probably turn into the No.1 WR option for the team. The Patriots got him and a 2022 fifth-round selection.

Some experts believe that Harry may soon leave the team. Parker’s arrival in New England may push him out of the team.

Harry’s future with the team wasn’t that bright anyway. He struggled to make an impact during his time with the team. That’s not all. Harry requested a trade through his agent. He wanted out and this was a huge insult for head coach Bill Belichick. The Patriots head coach selected Harry in the first round, but his first-rounder didn’t meet expectations. He wasn’t able to build a strong relationship with Tom Brady. Things got worse from that point. Harry sustained injuries, but this wasn’t the only problem he had. He was a healthy scratch at one point of the 2021 season. The Patriots didn’t even want to use him.

Harry forgot his trade request and saw some action this past season. It didn’t work. He didn’t use the chance Belichick gave him.

Will Belichick even consider getting rid of him?

Jeremy Fowler from ESPN reported that Harry had “not received indication he’ll be released.”

“But (the) draft could dictate movement on (a) release or trade,” Fowler added.

Belichick gave him a chance, but Harry is at the very bottom of the wideout depth chart.

If Harry decides to go somewhere else, he won’t have trouble finding a new home. He is young and has excellent frame. Let’s not forget that Harry measures at 6’4’’ and 225 pounds. He makes a good trade asset. However, NFL teams may not show interest in the first-rounder. Belichick has to find the perfect trade partner.
