LeBron Teaming up With Young 3-Time All-Star Can’t Be Ruled Out, Claims Insider

LeBron James has just finished his fourth season with the Los Angeles Lakers. It was a disappointing season for the four-time NBA champion. LeBron will miss the playoffs for the first time since his arrival in LA. It was a bad season and fans started talking about LeBron’s departure from LA. Where could he go now? In an episode of “The Shop”, LeBron said he would love to play with Stephen Curry. Well, Curry is not the only player LeBron wants to play with. He also praised Dallas Mavericks Luka Doncic. This leads us to the fact that LeBron may be teaming up with the young star.

Brian Windhorst from ESPN said that LeBron may take his admiration for Doncic to another level.

“I would say something else though,” Windhorst said on Get Up. “As part of this answer, LeBron was having fun here to be clear. He wasn’t making a declarative statement. He talked about how much he admires Luka Doncic, and that is something that you should put in your back pocket.”

LeBron may be teaming up with the young star for a reason

Doncic is 23 but he plays like a veteran. His game is sharp and the Mavericks wanted to give him a nice deal. They even went to his home country to make an offer.

Windhorst knows that LeBron appreciates great players. Doncic is a star and he will have a great future in the NBA. That’s why LeBron respects his great performance on the floor.

“The best way you can see how LeBron feels about people is who he drafts in his All-Star draft,” Windhorst said. “He has drafted Luka Doncic all three years he’s been an All-Star. He tried to recruit Luka Doncic to his brand within Nike a few years ago. Luka picked the Jordan brand instead. He, I think, would also love to play with Luka.”

Let’s see how this goes. LeBron and this Lakers team didn’t win a championship this season. This failure may force LeBron to take his talent and experience somewhere else. Will he go to Dallas and join his forces with Doncic?
