New Report Shares Insight Into Bill Belichick Current Work Ethic, Mindset

The New England Patriots hired Bill Belichick long ago and his work ethic is still impressive. Belichick is the best head coach in the NFL and he is also the most hated person in the league. Yes, people can’t cope with winners. Belichick is the ultimate winner, remember? His teams have won a lot of games in the past two decades.

Belichick, 70, has yet to mention his retirement. He is still going strong and he can still build championship-winning teams. The Patriots head coach brought a rookie in 2021 and gave him the keys to the offense. Belichick had a great feeling about Mac Jones and the rookie led the Patriots to a seven-game winning streak. We hope for a better record this season.

Bill Belichick has the right work ethic

Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated talked about Belichick’s mindset and his work ethic.

“Belichick currently has, including playoffs, 321 wins. That puts him third all-time, behind only Don Shula (347) and George Halas (324). He?ll pass Halas at some point, probably relatively early, this year. He’s 26 behind Shula. It’s fair to think that he should pass him in 2024. And while Belichick would never admit to that being a motivator, I will say there are few people on the planet with a greater appreciation for, or knowledge of, football history.

“I’ve heard for more than a decade that those around him believe he wants to show he can win with the Patriots without Brady. He got the franchise Mac Jones and a playoff berth last year. The next step is showing that legit championship contention is on the horizon. If Belichick can get there, too, he’ll be in better position to hand something good off to whoever the next guy in Foxboro is — which I believe is another thing he wants to do.”

Belichick and his assistants will be super busy this offseason. They have to give Mac Jones the right weapons and this will be their top priority in the next few weeks. The 2022 NFL Draft is already here and the Patriots have been linked with several targets.
