No. 1 NFL Receiver ‘Ready to get it going’ in New England

The New England Patriots are adding tons of talent to their receiving unit. DeVante Parker is joining the team through a trade and this gives us a different perspective at things. The veteran is off to a fresh start with the Patriots and he has delivered a big message for his fanbase. As you may be guessing, Parker is really excited to join the Pats. The receiver is going to New England and this is exciting in every aspect of the word.

“I’m very excited. I’m just blessed that they gave me a chance, that they gave me an opportunity just to come out and help the team in whatever way I can,” Parker said. “I appreciate the fans for all their support. I’m just looking forward to it. Ready to get it going.”

Top receiver is going to New England for the win

Parker is joining Jakobi Meyers and Kendrick Bourne on the receiving unit. His addition to the 2022 roster opens new opportunities for the team. The Patriots needed a top receiver and Julian Edelman’s departure turned this “need” into a “priority.”

The Patriots will give Parker an opportunity to play his best football. He wasn’t that great in 2021 as he finished the season with 40 catches for 515 yards and a couple of touchdowns. In 2020, he hit 63 catches for 793 yards and four touchdowns.

Here’s the fun part. Parker has already met some of his Patriots teammates. He joined Mac Jones for a throwing session in Florida. Bourne and Meyers were there, too.

Parker has to give his best to fit in the current Patriots roster. NFL receivers have to build great chemistry with their quarterbacks. This chemistry is of utmost importance for the team. Tom Brady and Edelman made the best quarterback-wide receiver duo the NFL has ever seen. Parker should try to build something similar with Jones. That’s what fans expect to see in September.

The Patriots have a busy offseason, but they have yet to make big moves. Getting Parker was the only big move they made so far.
