Patriots Hosted Mike Vrabel Son For Pre-NFL Draft Workout

The New England Patriots are linked to Mike Vrabel once again and this time they may get to work with his son. How amazing is that? Jordan Schultz reported that Vrabel’s son, Tyler, arrived in New England for a pre-draft visit. The Patriots planned to make a few big moves this offseason. It’s a long offseason and there’s plenty of time for everyone. Head coach Bill Belichick is entering the 2022 NFL Draft with a few major needs. He has his eyes set on Tyler Vrabel.

Vrabel was a three-year starter at Boston. The team used him as left tackle and Tyler’s performance got him three ACC honorable mention selections. The Patriots could use someone with his skillset and Tyler could be of great help for the 2022 offense.

Belichick has a few holes on the offense. He won’t have an offensive and defensive coordinator in 2022. This makes things a little tricky for Mac Jones and other offensive players. When it comes to strengthening the offense, the Patriots have to find a replacement for Ted Karras. He is no longer part of the team and Isaiah Wynn may leave the Pats sooner than expected.

Patriots catch the attention of Mike Vrabel, his son is their target

Vrabel’s dad is a popular head coach, but he is not a first-rounder. NFL analysts believe that he will be drafted in the later rounds.

“Vrabel is a solid run blocker with strong hands and enough leg drive to generate push at contact,” Dane Brugler reported. “He reaches his landmarks as a pass blocker to steer defenders from the pocket, but he will struggle with wide speed and shifty rushers because of marginal flexibility and balance. Overall, Vrabel is tough-minded with functional strength and play recognition, but his athletic limitations and struggles to recover will follow him to the pro game.”

The Patriots have the 21st overall pick, but they can always go up and down the draft to get the right players for their draft. Belichick has eight picks at the moment and trading some of them is always an option.
