Tom Brady left the New England Patriots in free agency. Negotiations went back and forth and the quarterback didn’t like the offer he was given. Patriots head coach Bill Belichick wasn’t willing to give him a long term deal. Brady was looking for some sort of security, but the Patriots didn’t have a multi-year deal for him. The greatest quarterback of all time took his talent to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and inked a two-year deal worth a lot of money. Some fans accused Brady of betraying his team and chasing big cash. Others believe he had the right to do the best for his career.

Brady was a Patriots quarterback for two decades. The Patriots got him in the sixth round of the NFL Draft. He turned out to be the best quarterback the NFL has ever seen.

Brady’s attempt to test the open market didn’t end well. A few teams showed interest in getting him and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were lucky enough to snatch the GOAT. It was a really good move and Brady helped them win a championship in his debut with the team.

A lot of teams passed Brady in the NFL draft many years ago. Many teams passed him in 2020. He is the GOAT, but teams didn’t try to get him. The former Patriots quarterback was supper annoyed. He didn’t like the fact that few teams wanted to sign him. It was a big mistake and Brady proved everyone wrong. He won a ring in his first year as a Buccaneers quarterback.

Here’s a fun fact. The San Francisco 49ers didn’t even consider getting Brady. They Brady’s backup, Jimmy Garoppolo, as their leading quarterback. Oh, they were so wrong. Garoppolo’s future is hanging in the air. So, yes, they made a big mistake in 2020.

Brady announced his retirement earlier this offseason, but changed his mind and returned for another season with the Buccaneers.
