Tom Brady Shares The 1 Thing That Really Scares Him

Tom Brady is the best quarterback the NFL has ever seen and nothing really scares him on the football field. The former New England Patriots quarterback spends most of his time on the field, competing against top rivals. Brady won six rings with the Patriots before taking his talents to Tampa. He and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won a championship in the 2020 NFL season.

Well, Brady may be a dominant force on the field, but one particular thing scares him a lot. Can you make any guesses? He is a really great player and we can’t really say that things can scare him. Guess what… TB12 is not as fearless as you may think. Great Tom Brady used to think too much about his retirement.

Tom Brady said his retirement scares him

In his interview with 60 Minutes on CBS in 2005, Brady talked about the fact that the end of his NFL career scares him like crazy.

“The end of my playing career,” Brady said. “Big time, because I guess I’ve done this for so long and I don’t know how I’d feel like in the offseason that I’m always trying to figure out ways to have a day that’s filled with things I like to do. When I’m playing football during those seven months out of the year, it’s easy. I get up, come in here, and not that it’s easy to show up every day, but you’re focused. You have a goal and something you’re trying to accomplish.

“When that’s done, you don’t have 80,000 people screaming your name. What’s it going to be?”

TB12 announced his retirement early this offseason. He decided to call in career, but changed his mind. What made him change his mind? Brady believes that his place is not in the stands. His place is on the field. Brady is getting ready for another season with the Buccaneers. Will he return to New England as opposing quarterback once again? It will be interesting to watch him play against Bill Belichick and some of his former teammates?
