Top Prospect Compared to Patriots’ Giant Trent Brown as an ‘Ice Skater’

The New England Patriots have added new talent to their roster. Head coach Bill Belichick traded for DeVante Parker and brought Malcolm Butler back. He signed a few players to add depth to several positions on his roster. Ian Wharton from Bleacher Report wants everyone to imagine Trent Brown as an ice skater.

Wonder why? Well, Wharton is convinced that offensive lineman prospect Evan Neal is just like Brown on the ice.

We have a few good reasons to believe that Neal will be the first offensive lineman to find a home in the draft. The Alabama Crimson Tide talent has the right size for the position.

“There are only so many gigantic offensive tackles in the NFL,” Wharton wrote. “It’s hard enough to find quality blockers, but linemen over 6’6″ and 330 pounds are as rare as they come. That’s why NFL evaluators love the idea of adding Alabama tackle Evan Neal to their roster.”

Trent Brown to motivate young Neal step in as “ice skater”

Charles Davis says Neal will probably be the third overall pick for the Houston Texans. Houston needs someone like Neal to protect their quarterback. Neal is an incredibly versatile player and he could be of great use for the Patriots in 2022.

Neal has experience at guard and both tackle positions, and unlike Orlando Brown Jr., he moves quite well for having such density,” Wharton wrote. “He’s much more athletically similar to former 49er and current Patriots right tackle Trent Brown, except he moves diagonally and horizontally as if he were a graceful ice skater.”

Brown is one of the bigger players in the NFL. Neal will have a bright future in the NFL. He looks and plays well and he will definitely make an impact on the field.

The Patriots have to address a few major needs in the upcoming draft. They have been linked to several prospects. Who will join the team as a 21st overall? The Patriots may trade up and down the draft to get the right player for their roster. Belichick has great plans for his 2022 roster and he really has to get wide receivers.
