Former Lakers Rival Makes Effort to Team Up with LeBron James
The Los Angeles Lakers have to make big moves this offseason. They have to trade some of the players which would open a few spots on the roster. Well, at least one Lakers rival would like to team up with LeBron James. Fans are definitely shocked!
Minnesota Timberwolves guard Patrick Beverley appeared on ESPN’s “NBA Today” to talk about his career. Believe it or not, Beverley would definitely love to play with LeBron. King James is the one superstar he would love to play with.
“Bron. Easy. Top dog,” Beverley said.
The former Lakers rival could team up for LeBron and win a ring
Beverley spent four seasons with the Clippers and gave LeBron a big headache. He requested a trade from the Clippers and ended up playing with the Memphis Grizzlies. They sent him to the Minnesota Timberwolves and Beverley inked a one-year deal worth $13 million.
The Timberwolves had a really good game this season and were close to making the NBA Finals. They beat LeBron and the Lakers in March and Beverley teased LeBron. It was so bad that he even tapped him on the behind.
Well, this doesn’t change the fact that Beverley and LeBron are friends. Their recent exchange on Twitter was a clear proof that are cool right now.
@KingJames thanks for last night Big Bro?? #LobosTequila

Is there any chance for Beverley to join the Lakers? He is an excellent defender and the Lakers could use someone like him. Beverley had a defensive rating of 110.8 this past season. He was averaging 9.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.6 assists while going 40.6% from the field, 34.3% from beyond the arc, and 72.2% from the free-throw line. The veteran also made 83 three-pointers.
The Lakers front office will have to get rid of Russell Westbrook if they want to bring Beverley to the team. ESPN’s trade machine suggests that the Lakers could send Brodie to the Timberwolves for D’Angelo Russell and Beverley. These two could be great fit for the Lakers, but we won’t draw a conclusion before the Lakers make a statement.
