Kyle Van Noy Delivered This Message To Mac Jones After Patriots Release
Kyle Van Noy is officially part of the Los Angeles Chargers, but didn’t forget to deliver a message for Mac Jones on his way out. The New England Patriots released Van Noy in March and he inked his new deal on May 5. Head coach Bill Belichick reshaped his group of linebackers, adding young force to the squad. Aging Van Noy wasn’t a good fit. He is an excellent player, but Belichick had different plans.
Van Noy had enough time to connect with Jones. He had great words for the quarterback and he doubled down. According to Van Noy, Jones “is going to be great.”
“I love Mac,” Van Noy said during his appearance on Friday’s The Pat McAfee Show. “I actually believe in Mac. … Really believe in him, and I think he’s going to be great. I hope he has the supporting cast to support him, that’s for sure, because he needs it.”
Kyle Van Noy delivers supportive message for his teammate
We can easily say Van Noy is a fan. He is a real supporter. In December, Van Noy appeared on Chris Long’s Green Light podcast and talked about the way Jones earned his trust.
“When I tell you (Jones) loves football and he’s a Patriot, that is him, bro,” Van Noy told Long. “I love him, too. He’s good. He’s really good. I’ve been impressed. For being 23, to handle the things that he’s handled, to be respectful, to get the teammates — like, he’s cool with all the teammates, vets, younger guys — it’s impressive, bro. That’s tough to do. It’s going to be impressive to watch, and I’m very, very happy I’m on his team.”

Jones is entering a challenging season. He finished second in NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year voting in 2021. Belichick selected him in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft and Jones led the team to a seven-game winning record. We have a few good reasons to believe that he will do even better next season.
When it comes to Van Noy, he is joining a packed group in LA.
